Alyssa Barbee is a fat, queer, sex-positive, neurodivergent, Pacific Islander devoted to cultivating intersectional spaces in media and education.

They have a B.S. in Advertising and Gender Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, and also trained as a sexuality educator through Nadine Thornhill and The Responsible Sex Ed Institute.

Since 2020, Alyssa has worked with small businesses, nonprofits, and educators across fields including reproductive and sexual health.

Through Shimoji Studios, she brings together social strategy, content creation, design, and education to help mission-driven organizations communicate their work in thoughtful, accessible, and engaging ways.
